    Nice pic BUT,
neither woodcock or rabbit is open during the hunts.
Rabbit doesn't open till Jan 1 and requires an additional 1 day 45.00 pelee township license.

The COs I have encountered there have never said anything about woodcock while I was there. They just confirmed I had a migratory bird licence. Lots of people appear to be hunting rabbits when I am there as well. I’ve never bothered with them or heard about needing a TWP license.

Care to share some information to back up this claim.
I cannot find anything in the regulations of both the federal migratory regulations. Or the Ontario regulations that say other wise.
I see that pelee requires a license for rabbits after a certain date.
But the way it is worded in the township document and the fact that its not given a exemption in regulation and its lists wmu 95 as Sept 25th.

Woodcock is open during all the Pelee hunts, no doubt whatsoever.

My older GSP did great, and the pup also found some birds on her own, so she is coming along nicely. I didn't really see any hunters breaking the rules, mind you, I usually hunt the fields were there aren't too many others around, as there is plenty of space on Pelee nowadays if you want to avoid the crowded/more popular areas.
Looking forward to going again next year!

Brought me a smile to see your pic.
There certainly are some interesting places, and a wide variety of covers.
