Your blue eyed boy might not be as nice as you would like to make out, when he gets his back end sued in civil court, where his whole background will come under examination, including why he attended there the outcome could be very different.

A kid wet behind the ear who decided to become a vigilante with a Ar15 at a demonstration might get the short end of the stick from a jury in a civil proceedings.

Do you know why we Americans feel that we need guns to protect ourselves - the riots of last summer is exactly why - the cops stand by and you are left to defend yourself - years ago riots would be stopped by force before they can get started - that's not what happens now - if you live in a neighbor where mobs can take over you better have a gun and enough ammo - that is why the left wants to take away guns because they know that a point will be reached when the law abiding citizens will have had enough and start cleaning house -

Now he like many of his weekend WARRIOR type's felt emboldened because he could legally arm himself with an AR 15, so was given POWER
by the State to go out there and confront other people and feel like he was a big man.

He was not a big man, but a scrawny kid, who could probably not fight his way with boxing gloves on out of a wet paper bag.

As his lawyer stated last night on CNN live," my clients regrets ever having went out that night".

So legally the jury found he used justifiable force to defend himself, but look at the low bar this State and others set for the taking of another human life.

If this continues the message sent to other protesters is simple, we all arm ourselves with Ar15,s and if the opposition are similarly armed it becomes a case of who pointed the gun first at whom and you have a shooting war and everybody declares they were acting in self defense.

This is a tragic story, this kid will probably never recover his life fully, the killing will be with him for life.

His lawyer a gun owner also stated he is appalled at the state of gun control in the USA.

IMHO the Police officer's did not do much of a job in this whole incident.
I would tend to agree with Gilly here….I agree with the verdict but it can’t be ignored that he chose to arm himself and go there that night….bearing arms is a right down there but choices matter, hardly the outcome he wanted but others may not learn that lesson

WE can argue that he should have never been there in the first, that he was a vigilante and that he put himself in the position,BUT,and it's a very BIG BUT,that what he did intially was NOT illegal under US law. That's why he was never charged. The fact remains and the ONLY fact that the dead guys were chasing the kid who was in full flight with every intention of removing himself from the scene. Even by Canadian law (notwithstanding that scenario, here, would be highly unlikely),it would still be self defense. Those idiots got what they deserved for being morons. I call the Darwin Award.

If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Well said-this is what does not fit well with the left ,far left and the rest of them...........None of them talks WHY the deceased were having a RIGHT to chase the kid,or try to KILL the kid? Conveniently omitted facts.
For them-the kid is "on the right"so he deserves everything the "rioting good souls" throw at him.
He did nothin illegal, according to the law(stupidity is not a legal term)so like it or not, his case was actually assessed fairly by the jury .

Is is another story-if they will try to sue him, or if his life will be shattered with these events.
There are just victims in this sad story.

If you listen to some of the Democrat/leftists that Tucker Carlson showed speaking in the link I posted earlier they would have been very happy if the kid was killed and to hear them call a child rapist and felon heroes just how far down they have gotten. I hope Rittenhouse sues the lot and gets enough he can disappear and be safe and secure because the lies, hatred, distortions and outright fraud that has been directed at him. We have seen it here lots in Canada where a person defending themselves is viewed as worse than the criminal but to see a child rapist called a hero, the bottom just fell out. I am sure it will be used to create more BLM riots and the media will cheer that too. Our PM during COVID goes out to march with and virtue signal with a group that has done tens of million in damage and has "peaceful" chants that basically give us what we want or we will burn it down. Just a reminder on that ...

Threats to ‘burn it down’ chanted during Washington D.C. Black Lives Matter march

The riots started within hours... those that want to destroy and seize what they can will on any excuse, this will be another one.

Riots, a kid that was legally there trying to protect people and property and the hate is on... he was being chased (by a child rapist, a felon that illegally had a handgun...) and defended himself and they hate him because of it! The threats and lies and intimidation are just starting for this poor kid, they know no bottom anymore. Criminals died and not the one being attacked, the left love their criminals, just look we have a lying ethics violating RCMP investigation blocking attorney general intimidating PM and they love him, socks and all.

Hardly. Americans value their guns more than anything. It’s not something new. They’ve been fed NRA BS for so long they now believe it. What do you call it Joe? “The price of freedom”. Sandy Hook or Stoneman Douglas shoots didn’t change a thing. So have at it. Stock up, load up and enjoy the freedom. Keep shooting each other.
