    Default Preferred 22 Rimfire ammo

So I am curious what everyone's preferred 22 Rimfire ammo is for Semi auto. If you shoot a 22 Pistol include that to.

I found in my Pistol and my son's Savage Semi that the Hyper and HP did not fire well. I pretty much switched to CCI Maxi, Blazer (made by CCI) . Has anyone tried the CCI Quiets (For Semi's)

x2 for CCI — stingers, mini mags & velocitors. The subsonic doesn’t always cycle the semi’s.

CCI quiets will NOT cycle in my Marlin 795.

CCI also has a Quiet made for semis. The regular Quiets are 710 f/s and the semis are 835 f/s. I haven't tried them yet as everyone is out of stock.

I find my 22 pistol and semi rifle does not like stingers

I use blazers when flinging lead with savage 64 and browning buckmark and CCI SV if I'm trying to shoot small groups. Both work flawlessly.

I was thinking of trying the Blazers as that seems to be all Canadian Tire has. 22 ammo is getting scarce many store around here shelves are empty.

It all depends on your gun, the age, what it was designed for, etc.

The old Cooey 64s jammed up a lot with the faster ammo. My browning from the 60s I will not shoot anything but standard velocity. The Rem 597 does not like Winchester bulk ammo but the Browning Buckmark chews it up.

I would say, go buy 1 box of everything available and try them, worst case you have some fun on the range.

I have Aquila standard velocity (it was very cheap when I bought it), Remington Target, Winchester bulk hollow point, Blazer, CCI Stinger, Remington Subsonic, CCI Quiet, CCI CB, pretty much anything that has been on sale.

The Quiets and CBs will not cycle the semis
