If I turned off CNN,CBS I might have missed the Republicans revolt and attack on democracy, spurned on by a loser President. No thanks they have nothing down there I would want or recommend to anybody. Mentally I am feeling fine, how about you in Erin O Toole's riding.

We're doing just great, thanks. When you don't subject yourself to left wing "spin" exclusively from CBC,CNN and the rest of the Liberal/Democrat propaganda machine and separate fact from fiction by getting other views and opinions from different sources, when you offer informed opinions, you don't look and sound like just another angry old man. Cheers!
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

We see even him ignoring MPs that had sexual charges, he "saw it different" when he groped the reporter, lying about women that were in his cabinet and his admiration of a dictatorship that has killed tens of millions and any not LIbErally impaired person would see as a threat, we can see the same type of treatment of women in China too..

While true it should also be noted that some bullies are more benign than others. In the case of the USA I believe they were/are far more benign than China and were actually on the whole beneficial for Canada. Not so with China.

I am fully on the same page as you on this topic. China is a clear and present danger not only to Canada but to many countries.
Xi Jinping according to recent reports is prepared to throw the elite class under the bus in his own country in order to hold onto supreme power. Jack MA of Alibaba was fined 2.7billion and basically put under house arrest for criticizing the government Jinping also according to last weeks 60 minutes show sanctioned the CEO in charge of Chinas equivalent to Uber eats and told them to up their wages and working conditions.
I believe this is one if the reasons why we are seeing so much Chinese money flooding into our real estate market.
If this President is willing to suppress these CEO,s and curtail even them putting out a new IPO maybe we should court them to come here and be real capitalists, I am sure the US would if given a chance.

Pres Xi and the CCP must be getting very alarmed at the amount of money flooding out of the country and the relentless shift to capitalism Chinese society is starting embrace. It doesn't appear that they're in a panic,at least, not outwardly. The telling tale will be when the CCP starts siezing property of billionaires, arresting them and issuing laws forbidding the out flow of money to the west. That's what happened in Russia which ultimately led to the downfall of the USSR. When citizens get a taste of freedom,be it economic or political,socialist/communist dogma will eventually collapse.

The main problem I see is that even if we could liberate some of these very bright entrepreneurs and encourage them to go to the west, their entire families would also have to get out intact, but would be held hostage or worse.
