The idea of the general public being in a state of fear is laughable. I find that many on here believe too convincingly that the rest of the population is running scared, while heroically they themselves are not. This is absurd. What I see in most of the public is carrying on with their lives while taking precautions wherever they can. Nothing wrong with being cautious. But to believe these people have “ the fear of god” in them, come on? Seriously?

Standing in line for 5 hrs for a test kit to tell you if you're are sick or not...is pure fear. If you stood that long in line..guess what, you're not sick.
What you are doing is just caving to social pressure. You gain nothing from knowing you're sick because you've already been infected and have been for at least 4-5 days before you took the test ( to show positive). Standing in line just help to spread it further.
How many people a day do you see driving in a car by themself and are wearing their mask..that is fear !!

I believe in taking precautions, but this is getting a tad ridiculous !!!

Not fear at all. Think out of the box. Most people will not comply with the 10 per house hold rule. So, they are lining up to get the tests to use as a PRECAUTION, prior to attending a big family get together. Peace of mind and love of family are more motivation than fear.
You gotta stop thinking that people are afraid of their own shadows, they simply aren’t.
