hopefully it stays that way but we are pretty early into this new variant. Hospitalizations tend to lag behind positive tests. But if the early indicators that Omicron is less severe remains then hospitalizations should stay down and the concerns will be unfounded.

All that would be great, and as infectious as this variant is, seems like most of us will end up getting it and the natural immunity that comes with it, which may just end this entire thing.

I'm hoping so anyway, but still think its a little early in this one for anyone to have anything more than a guess.

It's not a guess omicron has been around a month now.

50 to 70 percent less likely to be hospitalized from omicron then delta.

Up to 70 percent of the omicron case in hospital in London England were already admitted to the hospital before the detection of omicron. Some in there for days to a week in the hospital before getting sick.

This should be a reason not to close schools after the holidays.

Glad you got it all figured out doctor

But in Ontario it’s still a guess. Perhaps an educated guess but that’s all it is at this point

No one wants to be the one making rash decisions based on an educated guess

Better shut down then maybe it help the economy recover better.

Last I heard about Canada is that it was a highly vaccinated and we don't know the outcome yet ???? Why is that ?

Evidence from places that seen a lot of omicron has reported less in the hospital. End of story . In south Africa it shows it right across the board in all age groups. And very little deaths.

    This is great news

The media keeps twisting the results, but weeks into the Omicron wave and there is still no sign that is a big issue...like the rest of the world already knows.

Locally; Ottawa Public health published this:

OPH is aware of 3,355 cases of COVID-19 in the region.

These include eight cases in hospital, although there are no patients with the virus in ICU.

I'm not so sure about that.270143963_10165951717850542_8705965488697742913_n.jpg

Israel is uncertain of the 4th shots and might wait for variant booster . But still may let the public use at its own risk lol.

Pfizer also has claimed the boosters wane way faster then the second shot. 10 weeks at best and it's pootched .

    Merry Xmas
