Put in context..they're only 3 people (of the 7,000 positive cases in Ottawa), in the ICU...so 67% or 2 of them were unvaccinated ..is that's your point ?

Not to be insensitive...but what were his comorbidity issues ? : High blood pressure, overweight, diabetes, smoker, ..all the virus did was exacerbate his already pre-existing health issues. He was in a high-risk group and should have been vaccinated. By refusing he died. He's one of the .08% of the population that has succumbed and listed as death by Covid.

While 2 years of the pandemic, 96% of the people have not been medically affected by the versus. So why are they pushing for 100% vaccination when only a small few really require it.

edit add: by the stats coming in for Omicron, the numbers of those being infected, even though they were fully vaxxianted indicates that the vaccines isn't required for the whole population. Very few are being Hospitalized.

The point is on an individual basis the vaccinated if infected stand a better chance of survival.

But it's statistically a very, very small number. Worth what we have invested trying to prevent it ?

Sorry to hear that a guy you worked with died, but it doesn't mean he didn't have an autoimmune deficiency you didn't know of. Very, very few people have died with covid that didn't have underlying health issues, especially in his age range. Being fit does not mean he didn't have any number of health issues.

Healthy young adults, adolescents and children who contracted the virus have been the least likely to develop severe complications from COVID-19, including death. In fact, 100% of the COVID-involved deaths of Canadians under the age of 45 as of July 31 had at least one other disease or condition certified on the medical certificate of death.]The proportion of those with at least one other disease or condition decreases with age, ranging from 93% for those aged 45 to 64 to 89% for those aged 85 years or older
Pneumonia, respiratory failure, symptoms, signs and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings, not elsewhere classified, and nervous system disorders excluding Alzheimer’s, such as Parkinsons’ or ALS were the most common comorbidities listed among COVID-involved deaths of Canadians aged 45 to 64 years old.
Other common comorbidities listed on COVID-involved death certificates included pneumonia (33%), hypertensive diseases (15%), ischemic heart disease (13%), respiratory failure (13%), renal failure (12%), diabetes (12%), symptoms, signs and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings, not elsewhere classified (11%),Note chronic lower respiratory diseases (10%), nervous system disorders excluding Alzheimer's (8%) and cancer (8%).
Many of these conditions are significantly more prevalent among Canadians aged 65 or older, who accounted for 94% of all COVID-involved deaths in the first wave. Chronic conditions are also more prevalent among lower income CanadiansNote , who may have been at increased risk of COVID-19 mortality during the first wave of the pandemic.

My best bud, 34 years old, About 50lbs over weight, Smokes, Weekend alcoholic, Pretty much prime candidate for early self inflicted death lol

He has covid right now, As does his wife. Says he has a pounding head ache and it hurts to cough. Not much energy but I seen him cleaning the barn yard yesturday and doing chores so can't be too bad. Life's carries on, Strong will survive.

Hes unvaxxinated swine like myself too.

They should find a line somewhere and go stand in it a few hours to get a test to see if they have Covid HaHa...
