Double checking with credible online sources is a good plan. WebMD or the Mayo clinic are both sound.

I started taking 1000iu of Vitamin D3 several years ago at my doctor's suggestion. I'm a fan.

They sell vitamins over the counter for a reason...the instructions on the side are clear.

All Dr.s recommend anyone living in Canada to take vitamin D to prevent SAD...just read the label.

A new study by the University of Georgia linked low vitamin D levels with greater risk of SAD, or seasonal affective disorder (a type of depression affecting up to 10% of the US population though the fall and winter months).

As much as I'm a fan of Vitamin D, and take it daily, on top of my time outside, that made me laugh out loud.

Post #1. An ounce of prevention keeps the doctor away.

"This finding is in line with the international literature, linking low vitamin D levels with higher susceptibility to symptomatic respiratory infection, including COVID-19."

Just read this article yesterday. You'll need to d/l the pdf. I did also take notice of the statement near the end of using K2 with Vit D to ensure the proper distribution of calcium throughout the body. Did you realize that an untanned person can synthesize 20,000 IU in just 20 minutes of full sun exposure.
I always took 1000 IU per day and now have increased that to 3000 IU per day. The government has now approved the sale of 2500 IU capsules and they will be available soon if not already. https://www.canadiancovidcareallianc...mbat-covid-19/

    Here's an article on K2 I found yesterday. https://draxe.com/nutrition/vitamin-k2/

And then why are you as a mod dissing someone for posting the results of medical trials. Perfect example of why it's better for a mod to not get personal like that with forum members. If you thought it was supposed to be funny you failed.

My daily dose is 2,000 and 3,000 every other day during the bleak winter months.

A list of foods with various amounts. Read the labels when purchasing.

    Foods That Contain Vitamin D3

    Sun irradiated mushrooms
    Herring
    Fresh salmon
    Halibut and mackerel
Cod liver oil (also has real vitamin A so be careful as too much vitamin A can be damaging to the liver)
    Egg yolks
    Sardines
    Beer liver
Vitamin D3 fortified foods: dairy and some fortified orange juices

Never said that just mentioned best med advice should come from your MD.
