UK drops COVID-19 restrictions

Its a cold, but its not. My, my , my how they screw with peoples heads.
They are turning the regular cold and influenza into a monstrous cause for concern.


"British Columbia is beginning to manage COVID-19 more like the common cold, the province's top doctor said Friday while explaining major shifts in the government's approach to the pandemic."

"But we are all familiar with these new measures. They're much like how we manage other respiratory illnesses – influenza, or RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), or enteroviruses that cause the common cold."

She was emphatic that the new approach does not mean COVID-19 has already become endemic, which some infectious disease specialists believe could happen this spring, at least in higher-income countries.

"We are clearly not in a place where it's endemic right now," Henry said. "What we are doing is adjusting to the changes that we've seen from the new variant."

"Health officials continue to recommend the same layers of protection that have been recommended since early in the pandemic remain important for reducing the spread. That includes regular hand-washing, wearing quality masks indoors, and keeping groups small"

"Unlike colds and flus, COVID-19 is also still considered dangerous enough to warrant a number of impactful public health measures. Bars and nightclubs remain closed province-wide, while arenas, movie theatres and other venues are still limited to 50 per cent capacity. Organized events such as wedding and funeral receptions are still on pause, and providing proof of vaccination is required for many activities."

Have fun getting back into Canada if you catch the virus.

Makes perfect sense to not test the majority of people catching covid lol. Fully vaccinated have the same odds of catching and spending this than the unvaccinated.

They don't require anything to enter Denmark at this time now except a test. Probably drop that as well in the near future.
Besides, the women are much prettier there...lol

Noooo.. don't lift them, OK at least don't allow Boat cruises yet I was hoping to delay for one more year as my wife's and mine cruise that has been on hold.
Crap this is going to cost me a lot of money. I was really hoping one more year.

If you're looking for excuses how do about these? Depending on your itinerary and cruise line policies testing positive could mean being removed from the ship and left in some squalid third world country at the mercy of whatever passes for health care and having to make your own way home after the required 11 days or being placed under house arrest in your cabin and then having to figure out where to spend the 11 days after returning to your departure port.

I'm not a cruise fan and one of the few benefits of COVID is my wife has sworn off them entirely.

Yeah I like that. My wife is a fan of cruises, I'm not, don't like being crammed into a shipped with 1000 other passengers.

But I will have to go sometime as it's for our 25th Anniversary which is actually this year but the trip was suppose to be last Summer.

If we do go I will be buying as much insurance as I can.

Next time I won't be letting her pick the trip
