How many truckers were holding the line or was it just rabble rousers?
How come the very vocal, passionate freedom fighters of this board weren't in Ottawa holding the line?

Watching Tom Marazzo’s speech yesterday was a heck of a performance. Looked like he was trying for the best actor award. I do find it fascinating how they can still portray themselves as innocent of any wrong doing. You really have to be hardwired different to not consider the chaos created by them as lawlessness. The more you listen the more you realize that the “anti mandates campaign” was just a Trojan horse to the real purpose. They seriously thought that this would spark a Canada wide majority movement to force a government change. Now that they’ve lost ground, they are saying they will pull out peacefully. That time was gone after the police gave them 2 full days of warnings and pamphlets. Unfortunately the organizers played their base as fools. They confused people with misinformation and anti-government rhetoric and gained a lot of support from disgruntled individuals. They fed people and hosted parties to entice people. They promised money for their time. They really took advantage of a group of people that were already struggling. All the organizers achieved is to create more division and chaos. Now the entire parliament can’t be trusted, according to Marazzo.
Trudeau and future PM’s will have their work cut out for them to fix this. This was only a small battle in the ongoing misinformation war. I think the battles will get bigger, and the divide will grow. This was just a taste of what the future has in store.

It was never a truckers protest from the beginning. 1000 trucks Canada wide protesting doesn’t represent the majority of hard working truckers going about their daily business.

I was in three stores yesterday. Shelves were full as usual. This protest started over a month ago so whoever these "truckers" were their absence did not have a noticeable effect on the supply chain.

I do agree that mouthpieces organizers should have been there on the first line in protest [emoji1787] and some if them were btw
However the fact that organizers suggested to pull out just underlines the peaceful intentions.
Overall - You guys seem to down play the amount of support for these protests..
As stated before, protests are a symptom of much larger discontent with federal policies in the masses.. the root cause was not addressed so far, so this mess is far from over, the protest numbers will just keep growing if Justin Castro continues with his game.

Yeah, but they suggested to pull out after the police had full control of the downtown. Not to say some didn’t leave on their own accord, but organizer Tom Marazzo called a “retreat” after most vehicles were confiscated.

I heard some of the ones who drove out the past few days will be spreading out to Toronto and Quebec to join others
Also heard a bus load of people are coming into Ottawa from Saskatchewan.
Its definitely not over many are saying this is just the beginning
Power to the people. Not the government.

Peaceful would have been leaving after the Ontario Emergency Act was invoked. Instead they thought they could "hold the line" and when they were quickly shown otherwise they declared a truce just before total defeat and whined about "police brutality."

I hope you’re wrong. The agenda of the organizers is obvious by now. Anyone committing to this cause for chaos and anarchy is in the wrong. If Canada is so restless I’d rather see another snap election to settle things. At this point most people would have enough political motivation to vote.
