I think if you want people to join your cause, you shouldn’t anger them, but good luck to these guys.

Probably short lived. Once the mandates all go away and summer arrives I bet people will be getting back to enjoying life.

    Maybe

As for the protest rumor has it they are switching tactics and looking for the best next move forward.

We will see what happens next weekend lol. This weekend is over

Ottawa might be worse shape soon how they going to keep the people out and open for business? Keep it locked down all fenced in lol. Let's see how this goes I don't think it will go as smooth as the people want it to.
Or do they just got the hill closed off. ?

The next best move is to go home and be with their families, the mandates are ending. Isn’t this what it’s all about? Just be patient!!!!

However the fact that organizers suggested to pull out just underlines the peaceful intentions.

Overall - You guys seem to down play the amount of support for these protests..
As stated before, protests are a symptom of much larger discontent with federal policies in the masses.. the root cause was not addressed so far, so this mess is far from over, the protest numbers will just keep growing if Justin Castro continues with his game.

I know what the root causes are and to me a very big segment of Canadians feel disenfranchised by their votes not counting, especially in the west and being hard done by in relation to oil and gas pipelines. The Conservatives do get the majority of the popular vote and I think to reflect that there should be some type of electoral reform. The PM previously promises this in an election platform and he did not live up to that promise.

However the Conservatives did compete without getting those reforms so are partly to blame.

But we still need some sort of reforms maybe proportional representation?

The Conservatives need to win hearts and minds and I think they have been failing very badly at doing this.

What was seen in Ottawa was a group of hard core Conservative voters which to me represented a very nasty in your face, your going to do it our way element. There are very many more fine people composing this party that need to step forward and say these guys are not us.

But instead of this happening, they almost look like they are doubling down with support for these guys.

I don't know why they have such a fractured party right now but I think they will make themselves irrelevant if they do not get their act together.

I think the police did a good job and its very unfortunate that they had to use force to clean up this mess, but you can see we have a pretty wonderful democracy when officers from Calgary are in Ottawa defending the rule of law.

Are you sure it's just about the conservatives winning ?

More of the same old stuff. Really we need a whole change but who do you vote for? Vote the under bogs and still don't get in .

Here is video bashing the conservatives for not standing up the past few years. Taking it as an opportunity now .
