NORAD base in north bay most likely. But even if it’s not for that purpose, I don’t think it would be tied to Ottawa. People got to stop jumping to wild conclusions. Imaginations are so crazy right now, they would put Steven kings novels to shame.

I watch planes all the time on here https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=c2b3b9 if you click on the U in the top right hand corner you get military planes only. I can't remember if it was Thursday or Friday I watched two Challenger 600's fly from Ottawa to Northbay, the were registered as Canadian. It struck me as kind of odd for a great portion of the flight one flew right above the other. Right now there is an Airbus A 310 taking off from San Diego Airport that just landed there from Ottawa around 6 P.M.. If you type in it's registration number 15003 in the search column in the bottom right you will see the plane. I was thinking it might be the Turd catching some waves as he was M.I.A. in the parlamentry debate on his EMA tonight. Coincidently Two Challenger 600's flew out of Stephenville NFLD. earlier this afternoon with one landing in Ottawa prior to the Airbus taking off and the other landing in Toronto for a short stop before proceeding in Northbay direction and then it was gone when I checked back later.

Most of the pundits today are saying that Chief Sloly was basically overwhelmed and he knew his police service could not handle such a large and organized invasion of Ottawa. I find it ironic that Jason Kenney immediately asked for federal assistance in re opening his border town with use of the RCMP but now is issuing a court challenge on the emergencies act being used. Talk about hypocrisy.

Maybe Sloly knew something Bell and the rest didn't know. https://www.tiktok.com/@giselebeauln...zqdqF6zKv&_r=1

Sloly wasn't paying attention. The protestors said repeatedly what their intentions were as they drove across Canada. He ignored the warning signs and by the time it dawned on him what was happening it was too late. He's an incompetent and the people of Ottawa are well rid of him.

Well I do not agree with your assessment of him because even although the so called freedom convoy was on the way, how was he to predict the size of the population that came to support it in the first few days?

They have 1480 Police officers and given sick, maternity, vacation the very best number he could have fielded was probably half of that number of uniform officers. He had no ability to move any of the large trucks as he did not have tow truck drivers willing to move them.

This was an unprecedented event in policing history and given the freedom we have to assemble to protest how could he have shut down city street's. The present Acting Chief was his second in command at the time, he could not solve the problem without this additional help from across the whole of Canada.

Toronto in comparison has 5,500 Police officers and I can tell you from my experience of past demonstrations during the Harris era we had the OPP riot squad and our own riot squad (now called the public order unit) at all those demonstration's. We also had a bigger mounted unit.
So even with those resources and NO vehicles blocking Queens Park circle, the legislature was under lock down and on one particular day they almost managed to burn the place to the ground.

If Sloly had decided to use any level of force in the first few days the police would have been overwhelmed, he would have got the blame from all levels of government and MSM and would be made the scape goat.

He told them from day one that he could not handle this and told them in every daily briefing. When the penny dropped for all levels of government the necessary action was taken.

Even at the stage we have the Con's saying there was an over reach in bringing in the emergencies act and thus the resources to get the job done. The Con's by encouraging the occupiers actually exasperated the problem, they are the incompetents or co conspirators, take your choice. IMHO
