In fact they had them on Clearance Sale as discontinued stock for only $3.50 (2 box/pk)....so I picked up a bunch (5 pkg 10 boxes).
That should last me another 10 yrs ..LOL.
Right on. I didn’t stop in yet.

I just emptied one of the larger boxes of Redbirds I have around the house. Guess I'll stock up...I have about $30 in Can Tire money right now...
As one poster mentioned though, the newer "strike anywhere" matches aren't nearly as good as the Eddylites were 20-30 years ago. Try striking a redbird off the zipper on your jeans or coat....the eddylites always worked.
Yes those were the real deal. Made in Pembroke I think?

I have several old plastic film canisters that I use to store them. They fit perfectly and water tight. I have them in my hunting pack, several tackle boxes and in my boat emergency box. I'll have to have a look n see if Peavy or CT has any?

yes they were. "The company operated a match factory in Pembroke, Ontario until 1998"
They use to get the wood from an EB Eddy saw mill in Round Lake, where my G'Ma lived.
