    As one poster mentioned though, the newer "strike anywhere" matches aren't nearly as good as the Eddylites were 20-30 years ago. Try striking a redbird off the zipper on your jeans or coat....the eddylites always worked.

    I still have a box of eddylites in the box on the back of my quad... for just in case....

    I have several old plastic film canisters that I use to store them. They fit perfectly and water tight. I have them in my hunting pack, several tackle boxes and in my boat emergency box. I'll have to have a look n see if Peavy or CT has any?

    yes they were. "The company operated a match factory in Pembroke, Ontario until 1998"

    They use to get the wood from an EB Eddy saw mill in Round Lake, where my G'Ma lived.
