Default ammo and reloading supply shortage

Maybe I've just missed it, but I'm surprised there hasn't been a discussion about the current shortage of ammo and reloading supplies.

I wonder if there are others like me, flush with some stuff I don't need and short of things that I do need.

I have a full can of IMR 3031. I also have a full box (100) of large rifle primers.

What I need is some Alliant Blue dot - a LB would be great and CCI 209 regular shotgun primers....

209 primers are almost impossible to find, I am hoping to find some at the gun shows coming up.

The shortage started back with the last US election and covid sure as heck did not help. You can find many things right now but you cannot be picky and the cost is insane. Small pistol primers are like hens teeth, going to try small rifle primers for the pistols and see how they run. Do not use small pistol primers in place of small rifle though, they are not designed for the pressures that rifles create.

Buddy has been calling around trying to locate IMR 4895 with no luck either. One supplier told him there was a fire at a powder plant that has temporarily shut down production as well.

General Dynamics in Quebec use to make it along with others. My hunting partner Girl Friend works there. She said for the past 3 years now they are going all out manufacturing powders and ammos for NATO.
