Default A Day to be Thankful

Just enjoyed a wonderful day out at the ponds and woods with my dog. ( Can't hunt anymore.) Never thought we would be able to do that this Spring as I have Parkinson's Disease and the dog has cancer and had a TPLO last Fall. Saw two pair of Ring Necked ducks . Some days you have to remember to be thankful.

Yes Sharon - we all take so much for granted and look pass the good things around us - I've recently played a song that I heard for years but never really listened intently to the words - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Rif...start_radio=1- we are blessed with the nature around us if we just take the time to look -

Did an overnighter with a retired buddy at the camp yesterday. Burned a bunch of stuff through the day to clear a new 100 yard shooting lane, put out a new salt lick and relaxed.
Saw a woodcock up close from the bush truck, it never even ran away fast, just puttered along.
My buddy was missing in the afternoon for 15 minutes or so mid-afternoon where we were burning, I went looking for him and found him fast asleep in a lawn chair sucking up sun rays!!
Hunt camp rocks, relax, slow down and enjoy life whenever you can while you can.

So glade you were able to get outside and find a moment and appreciate the joys of life. The world keeps spinning. We seem to be constantly bombarded with the bad, the negative, the overwhelming. Whether it’s the world problems, or local problems or our own health problems. I tip my hat to you for finding the joy or the simple pleasures. They are around us. We just have to stop and look for them. Be well.
