Ya tried that argument with the wife.
Than she started quoting price of license, equipment, time off work, and lately price of gas.
Them fillets are starting to look dirt cheap at the store

$10 a lb if you head to most smoke shops on the Indian reservation near Deseronto if one wants to go that route.

Yes , but you can't put a dollar amount on the pleasure and satisfaction you get when hunting/fishing.

yes Sharon - especially fishing - I really love to go fishing - there is something about being out in the water - with so much space to use - they say that somewhere in the Bible it saids that God does not deduct time from your life - time spent fishing - maybe that's why I'm so old -

Yes Sharon, some things we just can't put a price on. I'm not a fishing fanatic, but I'd happily pay $500 to head out for a week of camping, fishing and sitting by a fire, as my wife and I do several times a year. Memories to live on! But not so much going to the market to buy fish?

Happiness is free
I'd rather spend 20 bucks catching my own then spending 20 bucks on some fish from the grocery stores.
Just a personal choice I guess I'm not starving or eating most of the fish I catch but when I do keep them for a meal it's always worth it.

Hey Joe, I disagree. Between having a truck and a boat, cottage or cabin rental or just a 4 hour round trip for a day, plus I don't keep much fish because I'd rather spend more time on the water or wind down when getting back home instead of cleaning fish guts, I figure whatever I keep costs about $6000 per fish!
