May 2022 dock launch. Had to move 2 of the 400 lb concrete anchors after the ice moved them 50+feet out of position. Than had to swim out to, dive down to and flip one of them over using a pry bar in the 5C recently ice covered frigid water. Swam out wearing wearing nothing but a pair of heavy work boots to help keep my feet on bottom while prying. My mid 50s body is getting a little old for that chit. Thank the gods for whiskey.

First step was to reposition the 400 lb submerged anchors:

The 2000 lb paddle board. Paddled the two pieces about 1/4 mile from the winter shelter spot to the summer dock location:

    Arrived

    Hoisting the ramp

    The homemade crane

    All done

Now that the dock is out the spring bear hunt is on deck

Edit to add a pic of what my forearms look like (pic taken this afternoon - Tuesday the 10th) after concrete wrestling on the bottom of the lake in 7 feet of frigid water:

I like the homemade cantilever hoist, it even pins together. Pretty slick!

Species, thats just crazy. 5c is shrink-a-dink temp. I’m a scuba diver and wouldn’t dive at those temps even with a 7mil wetsuit

Yeah was actually a hard mental exercise to keep from hyper ventilating. Got out to the anchor and wasn't sure i could do it - but persisted and managed - total time in the water was probably less than 3 minutes. Sat in the 23C sun naked for about 20 minutes afterwards to recover.
