I get a year out of my lithium aa’s in my SPYPOINT. Easily makes up for the increased cost over alkaline.
Yup it’s expensive to buy them but they just work.
It’s unfortunate rechargeables don’t work in them but they are larger diameter and don’t fit right
I will never put Duracells in my cams again. They leak all the time and destroyed too many making them way more expensive

I was lucky and found a bunch of 8xAA Energizer Lithium batteries on clearance at Your Independent Grocer for 6$ a pack back in 2019. I bought about a dozen 8 packs. In my Spypoint Micros, I'll get close to a year with them as opposed to 2-3 months on the alkaline batteries. I'll swap them in September and know I won't have to go back and replace them and disturb the area.

I've been using the cheapo Noma batteries from c-tire when on sale. I've had good luck with them in the cold and for relatively good duration too. My latest camera has been out for 2 months and still showing 100%

Really. I tried them a few years ago and they were junk. Didn’t last 10% of the time energizer did. Maybe they improved them. Perhaps I’ll try again for my non cell cams

This!! While my cams won’t last that length of time due to activity, I do go many months on a camera and I also use them in my cell links. They are cheap like borscht and They are the only batteries we use around my house abs in the field. They need replacement more often in the winter, but show me an alkaline that doesn’t. I have one cam that’s been running since January and I’ve had a good number of pictures come through and batteries are only coming due for replacement in the cam and link now!

I think it all depends on the camera. I've had energizer max batteries crap out earlier than expected. So I stick to the cheap batteries now. However, a solar panel for the camera which has a lithium battery within it is also another good route.

I plan on getting the lithium battery that is used for a fishing sonar unit. Get a case for it and hook up a solar panel to it.
