So we are all clear for the record , I mean trespass “fee” not “fine”. As in a fee paid to a landowner by a hunter to allow use to hunt on their land. It’s more of an American thing , but with the land in Ontario being bought up at an alarming rate it is my opinion that it will become more common here.

Good advice and thanks for the clarification. It should be noted,too,that landowner permission to hunt Elk must be in writing. The OFAH website has standard forms to download and print.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
