    Default Spring Bear Planning

I know it's moose/deer season, but I'm slowly starting to plan for a spring spot and stalk bear hunt.

I've been looking on the Ontario crown land atlas, but wondering if anyone knows of a half decent area we could canoe into some clear cuts?

    Thanks

Logging maps and plans can be found here :

The generic approach I take is find an "index" map for a given FMU (forest management unit), then it will show the operations sites. You can pull up a detail "Ops" map.

All pdf,s are geo enabled, so you can find precise coordinates in pdf with Adobe geo tool

Hope that helps your search a bit

    Good luck

I have question for you ...

Have you hunted Bear before ?
Why do you want to canoe into the clear cuts ?
Half decent areas are already taken ... Don't you think !
No offence you should put your post differently , worded differently .

There is on forum hunters who would take you out , give you the kick start ...
You just have to ask ...
