Any old information, is just that, old. People die, people inherit, people sell/give away. I don't really care if there are old copies of the registry stashed away somewhere, they mean nothing today.

I agree. It is possible the police could know the information but couldn't act upon it because they would be acting upon information that was ordered destroyed by law. Getting caught with it would be put them into a mess of considerable proportions.

Actually I think that I did, but I didn’t own any firearms that would have been an issue

Mainstream has enough time for a apologies . But no time for the thousands of farm owners who will loose their land in the name of climate change.

I do not know about you but I never received any notice in the mail?
Now that you mention it, I do recall getting mail from the RCMP about this, but I didn't pay much attention to it because it was old news to me by the time I received it.

Sadly , the man who killed the condo board members yesterday used a semi automatic. That will definitely affect the citizens' feeling about the gun ban policy.

Was a handgun though so he either had a restricted license or it was an illegal gun.
Hopefully it doesn't effect the latest list since none of them would have played a roll.

Still a tragic event my condolences to the victims and family.

He was 73 with a history of mental illness; if he was able to get a restricted license that speaks to the problem.

Especially with a history with the board I don't see how he would be able to keep it if police had been notified in the past problems.
