I am disappointed in popping back on here to see what amounts to a complete lack of awareness or growth on the part of those who were so viciously in support of all the nonsensical tyranny for the past few years. A lengthy thread of heartfelt repentance, serious reflection, and gushing apologies would only be a start – a bare minimum.

So while I am reluctant to further participate, I will nevertheless proceed to shut down the ridiculous "it was justified" claims some have espoused in this thread. The truth is important.

This was objectively the largest and most peaceful human rights protest in our lifetime, despite what the out of touch boomers and young blue haired Taliban claim. Those who participated in the various freedom convoy gatherings, whether in their own towns on the side of the highway or in Ottawa can attest to the friendliness, positivity and yes even diversity of participants. Standing outside in -25 do what was right. It was our Country’s finest moment in a long, long time. Simple as.

Yet according to our PM (and bolstered by MSM, who are in his pocket) these were the most vile people on the planet, who should not even be “tolerated.”

The claims of traffic being blocked were overblown. Things were actually quite efficient.

Also, traffic going where? People couldn't travel or work. We kept getting locked down. Those who supported the restrictions are so concerned about the free movement of citizens all of a sudden lol.

The claims of violence were untrue. Ottawa building arson hoax, etc.

Interactions with locals and local police were great. Most police supported the event.

What, precisely, was “illegal” about the protest? At worst, there were some parking infractions, which is in the realm of bylaw. But this somehow justifies the use of the emergencies act according to the covid jihadists and blue haired Taliban.

As Badenoch stated, the border crossing was cleared very rapidly and it was hardly a siege or “Assault on precinct 13” like the MSM made it out to be.

Funny how temporarily “blocking trade” was such a concern for these people but they didn't object to the economic impacts of unvaccinated truckers being unable to cross borders and all the businesses that were lost. There were other border crossings in Canada that remained open and unaffected by the extremely short inconvenience for the Ambassador Bridge.

The “bad actors” angle is a totally ridiculous non-starter. We know governments infiltrate and stage false flags (including literal flags, in the case of Ottawa) all the time, and they were frantically trying to discredit both the organizers and the attendees with every typical slur in the liberal playbook. The FBI is arresting parents for objecting to drag queen story time, a woman was arrested for praying silently outside of an abortion center, the CIA has conducted many evil experiments, and so on. The USA blew up the Nordstream pipeline. One of the largest chemical spills in recent history just occurred with almost no media coverage. It’s ok…the government says the air is 100% safe & effective so I guess there’s nothing to worry about! Let’s waste more money on diversity hires like Pete Buttigieg so he can “fight the structural racism of bridges and highways”. Lol. Let’s give another 100 billion of our tax dollars to Ukraine, while our infrastructure is crumbling and veterans are suffering. They are silent when thousands of illegal migrants cross our borders. They were silent when thousands of young girls were brutally raped and abused by Muslim grooming gangs in the UK. They were silent when 70 churches burned across the country. They were silent when men began humiliating and severely injuring women in women’s sports under the clown world banner of progressivism.
