All Optometrists can get a diagnosis confirmation from your Doctor with your permission. Opthamologists are MD's. As such,as specialists, they have access to all your health records.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Don't put off the test, if it gets bad, you can go blind and there's no coming back from that.

Mine runs around 5.5 to 6.5 on the average day, sometimes higher in the morning. When I drop, I get the shakes, sweats, headache, tingly legs and blurry vision. When I sense that, a quick stab confirms I'm below 5.0 and have gone as low as 3.7, faceplant and wake up a few minutes later. A semi ripe banana around morning coffee keeps me steady. Getting rid of white rice, white bread, even the so called whole wheat is garbage.

My research indicates the the cancer screening was previously covered and that was changed under the Ford government. As well as many other tests.
