Lake Simcoe Whitefish
Hi there
Hoping someone can help me out with some info regarding Lake Simcoe whitefish....
Need info on a boat ramp and possible starting point, oh do they still have a crazy launch fee for non-residents.
If you are uncomfortable sharing to the board, please PM me.
Have a great day
Thank you

Sibalds might have crazy summer time prices you can check online and pay for a pass if the price is decent. I can send you spots there
Beaverton they are getting some going after the perch and lots of parking not sure about paying . Wouldn't have a clue where to start but maybe not that far off. Couple of years ago some were caught from shore on the opener I highly dout they will be that close with the temp we have had this season.
If Jackson's point or island Grove work there is fish everywhere in between. I can also send you to a few spots in those areas aswell.
Good luck if you get out.

Thanks for the info, hoping to get out with my brother if the weather holds. We are not sure where we would launch out of yet as there are a few options coming in through PM.
My brother tells me 20 yrs ago was his last time doing the whitefish opener and they made a killing, not sure if its like that anymore but a few would be nice.

No, so my brother and I have been debating on what to do, so with no real clear answer, we are heading down to Lake Ontario Grimsby area for some Lakers, Salmon and possible browns this weekend.
I wish we were more confident with a Simcoe location but we are not, so we are doing option 2 Lake Ontario

innisfil beach still not officially open, as of last weekend, just parking fee.
barrie launch also open. just have to pay parking.
both good access to deep side of the kemp.
after years and years of chasing salmon on lake O, ive relocated to simcoe ... going to try my luck this weekend.

Thanks, will take you up on that offer if we head out there next week. My brother is a littler nervous about going out without direction
He was never like that when he was younger

We ended up going out of fisherman's pier area, and ended up getting one shaker...... Very, very slow day for us. Hope you all had better luck

So pretty quiet on the whitefish/laker talk even on the simcoe forum. Going out tomorrow to try my luck Launch out of sibbalds and be heading west hoping for some fish and chips for dinner. Any thoughts where to start?
