    Default Successful Moose Hunt

I lucked out on a yearling bull. Brought him out to the edge of a pond by imitating a cow urinating and walking in the water and a few subtle calls. The youngster thought that he was going to hit the jackpot!
We used a boat and Capstan power winch to get it out of the woods, It was a beautiful day to be out in the woods and everything worked out great.

Great eater Sam. Ours shot at 4.pm opening day was a nice 2.5 yr old bull.
Saw lots of deer up your way when we went to camp. My son shot one nice doe, and another member missed one. Deer population is looking up !!

Congrats on your hunting success too Rick. We had fresh tenderloin pan fried in garlic powder, salt and pepper, and a bit of onion the next day… to die for!

Glad to hear that the deer are doing ok. Are you heading back out in November?

I don’t think so. We lucked out and got our controlled hunt pick around home.
