Ottawa West Carleton Corkery Woods and Pinery-Long Swamp

Hi,
In another thread from a few years back, it was mentioned that within Ottawa, hunting is allowed in the Corkery Woodlands and Pinery-Long Swamp.

I've managed to narrow down the general area these places are in (I believe they are in the West Carleton ward), and I'm having a helluva time finding their exact locations.

Can someone direct me to boundary maps for these two areas?

Thanks for that. I must be missing something though - I don't find the boundaries of the areas I mentioned. I see the firearm discharge areas, but does the doc you reference actually show the area boundaries?

I was thinking that Corkery Woodlands and Pinery were similar to the Marlborough Forest in that they have fixed and identifiable boundaries. Is that a poor assumption on my part?

Thanks again. I really appreciate you pointing me to specific resources.

However, I still was not able to find exact boundaries of Corkery Forest and Pinery-Long Swamp Forest. My reason to find the boundaries is that Ottawa bylaw only allows firearm discharge on public lands within 4 specific areas (Carp Hills, Marlborough Forest, Corkery Forest, and Pinery-Long Swamp Forest) - and I don't want to mistakenly hunt on public land that is not specifically exempted from the firearm discharge bylaw.

So I called the city, who connected me with a bylaw officer. As we talked, he was also unable to find the exact boundaries of Corkery Forest and Pinery-Long Swamp Forest.

I'll see what other research I can do, but unless I can find the exact boundaries, I'll have to forget about these two places. If I find any reliable information, I'll update this thread with it.
