Same Old Crap
I don't know if you guys are interested or not - we had the presidential debate the other night - it was the same old bull - saying things that were not true and not caring because people are so uninformed and stupid - if Trump loses the election this country is done - you have a bunch of communist like people running the country right now - people who hate the way this country operates - big government will control everything a citizen does - when you consider the real issues at stake you can't understand how this Harris even is being considered to be commander-in-chief - what a joke - we need real hard times to get people to start worry about the important things in life and not what some dopy film star is saying - well I got that off my chest - gotta go outside and continue cutting down the Autumn Olive that is taking over the place - boy this bush is something else - it is one of the worst invasive plants there is -

I haven't been around long enough to know, but have politics always been like this? It seems to me that slandering your opponent at every chance you get is taking precedence over promoting positive policy making. It's getting to be silly. Hard to believe these people are adults and have power.

No,it hasn't always been like this. Partisan politics has always been part of the media, but, over the last twenty years,it's emerged as a propaganda tool by socialist political parties after they saw how effective it was in influencing public opinion in communist regimes around the world much to the detriment of their societies. In most cases, those governments turned to reindoctrination camps (gulags in Russia, torture camps in Cambodia,Viet Nam,China) where political opponents were imprisoned on trumped up charges suppoted by fake news stories, political rhetoric like calling people who don't agree with particular political dogma "low information voters" or "great deplorables" (Hillary Clinton ,in particular, comes to mind). President Reagan remarked at one time that "If communism ever comes to America,it will come at the hands of the Liberal". If we closely examine the tactics of leftist political parties,we clearly see the adoption of Marxist/Leninist/Mao communism media propaganda ,political correctness edicts to mold public behavior through cancel culture which actually started in earnest with the advent of National Socialism in Germany after the end of WW1 which ultimately led to WW2. Communist regimes soon found the ideal weapon to promote their sick anti-freedom and liberty ideology. No other glaring example of that can be found anywhere other than right here in Canada at the indoctrination educational policies of the leftist academia.

You’re bang on again Joe, if we had some real hard times and something that was actually a threat then maybe someone sensible would rise up to lead America. I’m not hoping for hard times but that’s what it would take to get people paying attention. Unfortunately leadership is simply not available right now in America because anyone smart enough to lead us also hanging back waiting for Trump to fall apart. Mr Trump is certainly preferable to Kamala but is a narcissistic idiot in his own right and is not (in my belief) what America needs.

I watched the debate and.
Harris put on a good show. She wins the Oscar for a fine acting job and not actually explaining why her and sleepy Joe fell asleep at the wheel for the last 3.5 years.
Trump failed to really nail her on her and old Joes failing policies on the economy and mass illegal immigration.
This presidential race is coming down to the independent vote. Trump really needs to get there attention before the election.
If Harris wins, we all lose including Canadians.

Joe, it is difficult for the average Canadian to make an opinion on Trump as we are exposed to a Liberal media machine controlled by the Liberal Government. Our Prime Minister does not like Trump, and literally ran out of a meeting at the Whitehouse on TV.

Watching these debates takes 3rd or 4th place at best comparing watching paint dry on a 100% humid day, complete waste of time and electricity. It's for the woke and politically brainwashed.

Some are hoping for freedom.
Some are hoping for free money.
Who talks about freedom the most?
They get my vote.

So,it comes down to a lyin' crook or a lyin' Marxist communist. Given they're the only options,I sure know which one I'd vote for. Pretty much a no brainer.
