Default Anti gun activists within carneys cabinet ?

Might have an gun control advocate within carneys cabinet. Probably the worst thing that could happen for gun owners in Canada.

It's a shame the sabotage in Pierre's riding deliberate interference
Protest longest ballot give me a break.

Well she represents her riding in Quebec and if you were shot in a mass shooting maybe you would end up as a gun control advocate yourself. I am sure PP was well aware of the riding re drawing of the electoral map and had no objections, until he lost. The protest ballot was carried out by the same group and they also wanteds to hit Carney but apparently ran out of time to pull it off.

My reading of the election loss for PP was that the residents remembered the Convoy/Maga folks who distrupted their lives for months, jammed up the traffic, closed borders and decided it was pay back time.

If you want to be Prime Minister you do not support folks who decided to impose their views on other peaceful citizens and distrupt their lives.

Could you imagine what would happen if the radical left went from the GTA en masse to Calgary and decided to pull the same stunt and shut that city down.

The truckers convoy were protesting against mandatory covid vaccine at Ottawa parliament...so was it ok for the liberal gov't to declare those Cdn citizens 'terrorists' and freeze their assets?

I believe it would be the trump syndrome not the convoy. Pierre was trump 2.0 yet its highly incorrect. The entire election was based on trump witch I called at the beginning of the campaign that's what it be about. Just a bunch misguided souls we are.

91 candidates on the ballot sheet? Really

What the truckers did went FAR beyond a peaceful protest!
Ask the Ottawa residents how they liked their nights constantly disrupted with truck horns, streets blocked, and all the other nonsense that totally disrupted their lives.

Well I can tell you on a personal note my wife could not get the vacinne when it first came out as she was not yet 65 years old. So she ended up getting Covid and the very bad Delta form which led to a 15% swelling in her brain and she already has depression. This then led to a very bad incident were I almost lost her.

But that aside I do sympathetic to your views as my son who works for the City of Toronto was forced to get the vacinne or face firing, I know a lot of COPS were in the same boat.

So no doubt that part could have been handled better.

I do not believe your contention that the Freedom Convoy had anything to do with vacine mandates as most truckers were out trucking, most of them are East Indian now and probably did not give a chit about vacinnes.

This was a false flag operation by the far right anti Trudeau crowd who decided that civil unrest was their best course of action and took to the streets in a Trump like insurrection.

The supporters from the USA were flagged sending money up so sure bank accounts were frozen as they were funding domestic unrest in Canada. In the same way the "staw organisers" from Alberta were also being funded by the likes of the Wild Rose Party as a direct protest against what they view as not being heard or taken for granted.

Anyway PP paid the price for the support he gave them and also lost this election for the support he gave to Trump by keeping silent on the tarriffs for weeks, the he went from Canada is broken to Captain Canada, the general public saw right through this guy.

Well I do not agree that there should be 91 candidates on the ballot but that in itself did not have him loose his seat.

But if we are talking about electoral misconduct, how about PP and his dear wife on CBC television at 11.15am the other day casting their votes " they are both seen getting their ballot cards together and then together both are in a single booth marking their cards.

This is is direct contravention of the electoral rules "voting must be done in secret" "you enter the booth by yourself"

Pretty bad to vote for a guy who does not even know the procedure for voting in Canada.

Yeh this was way beyond the acceptable limits of a peaceful protest, this was an occupation. Its to bad the Chief of Police was a paper pusher and not a street Cop, I do know him personally.

Billy Blair who I also know personally would have given those protesters a few days, the had the boys come in, have the mayor read the RIOT ACT and locked them up.

They were lucky Justin was patient and went overboard to allow them the time they occupied that downtown, but when you then close off the border to trade and have a public outcry, thats when they had to be moved on.

Now by all rights if the left in Canada decide to protest in Calgary for instance against the oil companies, the right should now also afford them the same latitude and allow them to shut the downtown of Calgary or maybe Fort Mc Murray for a few months. What is good for the Goose and all that...

It'll be really interesting to see the government reaction when Alberta and Quebec (especially, if Nathalie is appointed as a cabinet minister) finally decide that enough is enough and pull the plug.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
