    Default Smokeless muzzle loader for big game

    Shooting smooth bore sized to just a snug fit using H4196 and 245g sp dont know the speed but the weight of the projectle should be good right or should I move up to 300gr bullets

    No offence but the question/statement is a bit hard to understand(at least for me)


    If the rifling pitch is OK for your intended bullet shape and length ?
    If you are shooting a bullet which will properly seal in a rifled barrel(no blow by )and not sure in the bullet weight-why not try out ?

    Ok sorry I have read that some people feel u should use a heavy bullet like 300 gr. For deer and moose

    Stands to reason-slow( blackpowder driven ) but heavier bullet is always better for moose. Not so much for deer , i think.
    If shoots good in your gun-why not use that ?You may loose some energy and drop faster-but that is that.
