I asked the same question about a week ago with no response. I would assume there should be good ice now. Trout lake where I live froze over 2 weeks ago. I'll find out more after I get back on Sunday night.

I know they're fishing on Ottertail Lk. behind Bruce Mines right now. Not sure about any other places. What lakes/areas are you specifically interested in? I'm heading toward the Soo tomorrow and can check out Pine Island for you.
At the moment its now -20 out so the ice is forming.
