I for one believe...and I have my reasons.

I have never seen an apparition, but I have seen some things to make me go Hmmmm.

We were at my Aunt's house, between viewings for my grandmother's funeral, my wife, my aunt and myself were in the room (everyone else was already headed to the evening viewing), suddenly a picture of my (deceased) father that hung on the wall fell to the floor. No one was near the picture, it just fell as if of its own accord, the hook in the wall was still fine, the hardware on the back of the frame was still fine, yet the picture fell.

When my grandfather died, my wife and I were rushing (Niagara Falls to New Liskeard) to get to the hospital, as the family was told he had a day. When we were about in Latchford, I had a feeling (hard to describe the feeling) but I said to my wife, "We should just head to the house, meet everyone there." Sure enough when we got t the house everyone else was just arriving...Grampa had passed about an hour earlier (about the time I had that feeling).

I have also been alone at home, (no pets at the time either) and felt something "sit on me" in bed.

Witnessed my dog barking at an empty corner.

And my children as babies would stare off into this one corner of the living rom, during feedings, and would get a huge smile.

    These are what I witnessed.

My wife witnessed what she thinks was an apparition of my father (He passed when she was 3-months along for our first daughter) one night looking over the baby in the crib when she got up for a night time feeding and diaper change. She thought it was me (we used to tag-team the diaper change and feeding) until she saw I was still in bed snoring. Then when she turned back he was gone.

It is important to remember that ghosts do not exist to cause destruction, harm and evil. Unfortunately, Hollywood portrays ghosts as harmful creatures-- which causes people to irrationally fear ghosts. you should be far more concerned with the human beings you might encounter, (i.e a group of deer hunters who do not want you around) than with ghosts you might encounter. An irrational fear of ghosts will prevent you from experiencing amazing things, and learning more about the paranormal!

I too believe. My grandfather passed some 13 years ago now, and this year around the time of his death in October, I thought of him. That night around 2:00/2:30am the bedside alarm went off. I was like "Hi Grandpa, thanks for the visit." That was the time he passed. Various other family members have had visits from him, in different ways.

When my pops came up here this past weekend for the deer hunt, he dropped me off a bag. Too my great surprise were a bunch of old pictures I'd had in my old room at home of Hunter, Wager (and Brandy who is still alive). Okay, I balled my eyes out seeing Hunter and Wager. Well, that night Brandy went nuts growling and barking at nothing all of a sudden. It was dead silent in our basement family room and she was looking at this corner of the room barking. I have Hunter's ashes on the fireplace mantle there and a memory box of Wager, so I think those two came for a visit, especially after looking at those old pictures

BTW, judging by the placement of the hand and lean etc., it looks like he's walking with some form of a walking stick/cane.
Old owner that was buried somewhere on the property a long time ago?

And of course people see such things. Numerous people have claimed to have seen the Loch Ness monster yet modern science has failed to bring up anything. That's because they are seeing the ghost of a dinosaur.
