Fly Tying Tutorials
I've decided that rather than creating a post for every tutorial I do, I'll just create one post and update it as I add more tutorials. This way I won't end up filling the entire Fly Fishing Section with posts! Also if anyone else has any tutorials I can add them to this list if they want.
Steelhead Zonker
The Freight Train
Basic Marabou Steelhead Fly
Steelhead Interceptor
Sucker Spawn
Silly Steelhead Nymph
Marabou Steelhead Jig
Ice Jig Fly

Sucker spawn
Not trying to be a dick but real sucker spawn is a kind of "pea green" colour.

It's the name of a pattern, not necessarily a hatch match. The above colours match the profile, but are in attractor colours. I would say that sucker spawn is actually more of a translucent yellow/olive. However I do appreciate you pointing that out.

Easy to tie, few min spent, no grief when snagged on the bottom.

When I used to fly fish for steelhead. Sucker spawn and glow bugs were te only appaterns we used. Bright colors like pink, neon green and yello were producers. Very few egg patterns match the hatch they are attractors.

This is my go-to pattern for Steelhead on Great Lakes tributaries. This pattern, in this colour is responsible for most of the fish I’ve landed in the 2012/2013 season. I based this pattern off of Greg Senyo’s JawBreaker.
