    They aren't allowed to drive at highway speeds! That is why they have a reduced speed limit.
    I have been told that there are probably going to be some changes in this law. Contact your MPP and tell them what and why this should happen....
    I can drive with 200lb of dog food on the front rack and 400lb on the back, but I can't take my 60lb grandaughter on a trailride!

    There is an MPP ( Conservative I believe), who is proposing an amendment to the current law to reflect the fact that 2 up machines are now being used with an increased regularity.

    Of course the law still basically puts the Municipality in the drivers seat as to whether or not they want to allow ATVs on roadways or not.
    "Camo" is perfectly acceptable as a favorite colour.

    I been wanting to get an atv so from what I coming to understand that you can not have a passenger on the atv on the trail even if it is made for 2 people? Am I understand this right?

    No . The only place you can't ride 2 up is on the road . Trail and the ice your good to go .

    Ok, thanks for clarifying that. Here is another question. What about atv that have been modified to have a passenger being the driver. Can you still use that on trails or the ice?

    Sure. Unless the trail owner has some weird rules you are good to go on Crown or private land, ice as well.

    Thanks for clearing that up. Right now I do have access to a neighbours atv to use when I want. Good to know this before I decide to use it.

    Just make sure you bring the ownership and pink insurance slip with you....
