Fifty Point Marina
I heard they just had a fishing derby not too long ago at Fifty Point. Did not hear what they were catching. If any one heard please fill me in and ice conditions in the marina part.
If weather holds up for this weekend I was thinking about fishing off the rocks or ice line for Browns. Any one heard of Browns being caught there yet? If so what your using?
In the past years its been good fishing there for me- not heavily fished and seems I always do well there with the trout. Not so much with the salmon.
Just a side note- Binbrook has put there huts back onto the ice as of Feb 24th. Will be there on sunday looking for those crappie again, its been slow there for me the past 2 weeks!
You can't catch a fish if your line is not in the water!:fish:

I went out today with a buddy, we got there around 10:00am. There was a couple more guys out there when we got there. One hut was about 20-30 yards from open running water. We fished about 4 or 5 different spots, all in the docks area, and got nothing. We may have marked 2 or 3 fish all day. We talked to the other guys fishing and nobody else had anything either. Only action we had was at the end of the day when a muskrat went after one of the transducers..twice. The guys fishing there said its really hit and miss there, either there on, or not, also saying a nice brown was caught at 3:30 yesterday, and the local bait shop said browns were hitting on the weekend. All of the holes we drilled showed lots of ice, at least 10-12"

Lots of ice at Jordan. Lots of people fishing as well. Fished sun not much happening, few small perch. However last tues night landed two brows and one 33 inch pike. Both browns took skein and the pike a big dead minnow about five inches
