Has too much time on their hands
Hey OddMott, I did very well on Crown around Ottawa, we should go next season. Prior to rifle during deer, was pulling 3-4 per weekend and flushing at 8-10 per day. Found some great spots and second gun would be great.

I have been offered the opportunity to go to Lapland in northern Finland for a moose hunt this fall. I have been e-mailing and texting my buddy since October and yesterday he sent an e-mail. He had a meeting with the members of his hunt club and it was voted on and he said that I was accepted as his guest for the 2014 moose hunt. OH YAH! He will be sending the info as to our next steps in this (to me) trip of a lifetime. My sole focus for 2014 is to make this trip a reality.
Part of the plan is to get my body in a little better shape through diet and exercise. They do a lot of walking and stalking with packs and guns. I plan to shoot, shoot and shoot some more, all calibres of firearms that I have at various yardages. If it happens that I have the opportunity to take the shot I can and will make it count. Will have to work a little harder to squirrel away the funding for this 2 week adventure. They have been planning some other day trips as well. I'm pumped, stoked and can't wait for late September 2014.

Sounds like I might get out to Alberta this fall for a deer or elk hunt with my Uncle. He has agreed to hunter host me and I am hoping to give mule deer a go. If he is keen, I'd also go elk but I'd only have a week or so there which might limit things. While out there, I'd like to do some upland hunting since he has a GSP pup that's he's trained up.
Apart from Alberta, I'll be doing the same as last year - turkey, duck, goose, upland, deer. I would like to try moose but we'll see how that goes over with my brothers and father.
