GSP
Hi everyone, the wife has approved getting another dog. I was worried she was going to push for a lap dog but to my surprise she agreed on a GSP. So the hunt begins for a good breeder. Does anyone know a breeder or a reputable place to get my new little buddy. Also we already have a choc lab about 5 years old, wondering how the 2 will get along.

Are you sure she is thinking about the same GSP(George St. Pierre) your thinking of ?

I'm confused why you would be worried about the wife pushing for a lab? I thought you said you wanted to get a dog?
JK!
Good luck on your search!

Gundogbreeders.com or check GSP club in Ontario.
Had a lab previous to my GSP. GSP may have a much higher energy level. Will be a great addition to family. Should get along fine with your lab, mine has a great time with my sisters and others she plays with.

I don't do GSP, only Small Munsterlander, but thanks, Sharon.
I know little about GSP, but I can say this - there's a LOT of variability in GSP (or DK) from line to line, breeder to breeder.
So I'd say - make sure you like the sire and dam, hopefully see pups from previouos litters. Go hunting with them, make sure they suit your lifestyle and hunting style. Standard advice, really, but as I said - a lot of variety in GSP, less in DK.

Sorry. I knew that. I see that German kennel name and think GSP sometimes. I got it now.

Good choice. Might want to contact NAVHDA groups to source breeders.

The breeder where I picked up my pup last year is currently breeding the same two dogs with pups expected in the Spring. FYI they are located in Michigan about an hour from the Sarnia border. PM me for more details if you are ineterested.
