What is the range limitation on this 2.75" shell? I was under the impression 3" 12 gauge shells were the minimum for yotes to get the distance.

You guys are scaring me now... full cheek turn and heavy gloves, safety glasses...gee thanks. I will take pics of the pattern and shell casing when fired. 28" full choke barrel. Plan on shooting at 25 and 50 yards. Sat or Sun...if you don't hear from me Monday...well, just know, I went with a smile on my face...

I guess that would mean you had your hands on something besides the shotgun and the wife tested the shells on you?
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

All my reloading books show media with buckshot heavier than number 4 buck. If you follow a reloading book recipe you should be ok.
Experience is what you gain when you didn't get what you wanted.

IMR data, poly shell, 2 3/4" load data. Only difference is "0" buck instead of "00" buck used.

SO I went out Sunday to Range and fired 3 shells from this load. First was covered face shield, heavy gloves and shooting from mound protected. Shot straight down range. OK, that scary bit was over and I put up 2 X 3ft card and paced up 25yrds. First shot only 3 pellets on cardboard. Second shot - 8 pellets in target (fired on same target as first). The punch from shooting was less than #7 bird load, which I fired for comparison. Not sure if I could bump out powder safely, but happy with overall performance.

Seems odd that there is less kick on these loads.

Is the #7 bird load a handload as well?
