I'm trying to understand the mentality of some pennis feeling that they need to carry a handgun when snowmobiling in winter. His buddy is lucky he didn't get shot. He totally provoked the animal into a defence confrontation. Hope they nail him, and take away his firearm permit. Dude probably suffers from ""LMS"(Little Man Syndrome). Really sad to watch this.

Very simply put, this guy is an hole. Since when did it become ok to post ridiculous videos like this online? He should be caught and charged to the full extent of the law. A little education would go a long way for some outdoor enthusiasts. Just another example of how nature loses all the time when it comes to human encroachment. Decent people like most of us on here have to be the voice to defend animals against atrocities like this. Makes me sick.

I have a very similar opinion to the majority of the guys here cause ya know damn well he would have done things differently if he didn't have a gun on him. The situation was easily avoidable!!

Do you mean like this person who commented under the video LOL
"If you are a hunter, I don't want to be anywhere around where you are hunting. Shoot into the air? Have you ever heard of gravity? There were snowmobile tracks in the snow. Obviously, other people go into that area. If you shoot ANY gun into the air it has to come down somewhere. Do you know where it will land or who it might hit? Obviously not.
I agree that the shooting was not justified and the guy should be prosecuted, but shooting any gun into the air is not the answer"

I want to post my thoughts what I saw in the video before reading any comments, so here she goes....
Based on what I saw in the video he should not of fired his gun at that time as the moose was not a threat to him at that point in the video, maybe it would of charged him again but maybe not, we will never know for sure.

Is there something that indicates this was a 9mm? I'm on a slow connection, and comments didn't show, just wondering how you know it's a 9?
But I do agree that he shouldn't have harassed the moose, and certainly shouldn't have shot it and left it.
