    Default $2500 Arsenal

If you had $2,500 and an empty safe what would you fill it with. Don't include HST, ammo, or glass - firearms only.

    Here's my list:

    Remington 870 Express 12 Gauge - $500
    Sako 85 Finnlight .270 win - $1650
    Savage 93R17 BVSS 17 HMR - $350
The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.

That's actually a very good list, pretty much the way I would go except I really wouldn't go Brand specific, I like to buy the best deal on a gun/price has always been my way of doing things. Most of my gun safe is filled with FREE guns

    But I agree.....a .22......a 12 ga shot gun....a .3+ (30-06/.308/.303)....would be the basic arsenal for anyone.

I would, and have, added a Muzzle Loader to that ...as I prefer that for hunting now.

    Good choices Species !!

A .223 and a .338 Lapua. That may stretch that $2,500 a bit but I suppose I could not be too picky about brands and maybe try to find something used - but that would kind of defeat the purpose of those two calibers.
