I'm starting a rumor that the first 100 people in the door get a 25 $ gift card

Have you ever been to a Bass Pro in the states???? I really beg to differ that the stores in Canada are even close to being similar to the US stores. All it takes is a few minutes on the Bass Pro.com to see they don't carry HALF of the products up here as they do in the states and they won't even order it in for you!! I really am hoping that Cabela's does not drop the ball like Bass Pro has when coming up into Canada. Don't get me started on quality of staff ether!!
I love fishing but REALLY it is just a way to pass time until hunting season!!!!

Have you been to a Cabela's in Canada, and the US? The Cabela's in Canada (That I have been to, Winnipeg, both old and new, and Edmonton 70,000 Sq/ft and 50,000 Sq/ft) are NOTHING compared to the American ones, 230,000 Sq/ft (Fort Wort Tx) and 160,000 Sq/ft (Glendale Az) the US has some smaller ones as well, but the big Flahship ones are a site to behold, same as BPS in the US.
The one in Barrie will be same size as the new Winnipeg Store which I was at just after opening, and is 70,000 Sq/ft a good sized store, but I was done walking it in a very short period of time, 3 things I wanted to buy, they didn't carry "in the store".
The Vaughn BPS is 130,000 Sq/ft so I think it's safe to say, both BPS and Cabela's in Canada, are scaled back versions of the US, and the stock reflects that (in my experience of both stores).

I have had the pleasure of spending time at the Forth Worth store on a number of occasions. If I may add that a good chunk of the SF is also dedicated to museum quality mounts in one wing and a huge gun library in another. These account for a good chunk of square footage all by themselves. A retail store with 130,000 square feet of products will offer a good variety of products.
Cabela's Fort Worth, Texas Retail Store is located at junction of state highway 170 and I-35W. In addition to offering quality outdoor merchandise, the massive 230,000 sq. ft. showroom is an educational and entertainment attractions, featuring a décor of museum-quality animal displays, huge aquariums and trophy animals interacting in realistic re-creations of their natural habitats.

Also good to take into account how much space the boats eat up indoors at BPS.

Good point. The new BPS in Kanata will also have bowling lanes and a big restaurant. It is all in how they allocate their square footage I guess.
