I wouldn't of thought that outfitters would just use crown, for this exact reason, having a clients hunt ruined by someone else sitting a few yards away.
Most of the bear guides are hunting on crown land. Licensed guides are given a Bear Management Area and have guiding rights against other licensed guides only in that area but any resident of Ontario with a valid bear hunting license can hunt that public land too....

I have 2 maybe 3 different bma outfitters on my trapline , they all kinda converge in the area , still lots of room for other hunters though

quite a few years ago, me and a buddy had went fishing back at this back lake my uncle had a boat stashed on, this was around the start of bear season, and the outfitter in the area who i knew well, had bin baiting near this lake, so since it was bear season, buddy and i decided we would be best to wear orange walking into this lake, well we come out after fishing, and the guys wife drives past us, well i no sooner came through the door and the phone was ringing, it was the outfitter calling me, he went off on me that he was calling the mnr because i was hunting one of his baits... i just laughed and said go ahead, cause our fishing rods wouldnt have killed a bear lol
