    Default Buck Pic

This is the first time I've seen a buck on my trail cam before fall. I usually get some but never ever this early on my property. Hope he sticks around

Nice looking bucky. Look forward to seeing a picture of him after he hits the ground
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Thanks guys. How old do you think he is? I got three pics of him all consecutive. Doesn't seem bothered by the cam at all. Got a couple other pics of different bucks too at this spot. It's on a game trail........I think I may have finally figured out a decent set up spot on my property. I put a ladder stand that works with the typical wind. Extended it up an extra four feet to about 20-21 feet. Just have to cut some shooting lanes and I'll be good to go.

nice buck!! I have a group of 3 that are very similar looking coming in all hours I hope stick around as well....but ye never know as they are friends now but closer to season they will be enemies and start roamin alone.

just curious how exactly did you extend the ladder stand to gain the extra footage.

Hard to tell from that angle, but i'd say he's a 2 year old. Maybe 3

I extended the ladders basically by having my metal fabricator make up another section for each of the 3 stands I bought from BPS when they were on sale. Then I braced it off the tree with a 2x4. Seems good and sturdy. Wasn't real cost effective but I am able to write it off thru my business. Likely cheaper to just buy an extra stand and use the sections from it. Is real sweet to be up that bit extra though. I hope it helps matters.....just have to watch my shot placement (wishful thinking lol)

He's not fully mature most likely a 3 year old but he's got a fairly nice rack if he's around next year of the year after he might be something really special
