Good advice as we had a bunch of clowns popping away at ducks a couple of fields over this early goose season.

Except then you are relying on their interpretation of the rules and regs...and trusting that they are familiar with/have read the latest regs.

Lots of knowledgeable people on here to provide clarification...

But how do you know some anonymous Internet personality is "an expert authority"?

If this is your passion there is no reason not to read the regs and know the rules. No different than hockey, football or poker.

Asking others for their opinion/take/interpretation is absolutely ok....but please read the regs yourself first...otherwise you open yourself up...

I have seen some pretty wrong advice given here.

It's CYA that's all I'm saying. Don't ask a Proctologist for advice about a sore throat.

If people never asked about the regs, how would we have five-page arguments?

Given that the Trudeau family are brilliant upstanding saviours of Canada, is it legal for me to have an encased Tavor in a duck blind with an apprentice hunter while using steel shot to hunt doves before the duck sesson opens, as long as I am using goose dekes and using the Tavor for target shooting? Should I carry a few zombie targets to help convince a CO?

No problem if you're a pal of Justin's.

What I don't like seeing, is someone asking a question, and then, once they realize they were wrong, or posting they are about to do something, and being pointed out, they can't, they delete their thread.

Happened twice last week. It's okay to be wrong, we all are at times. But someone else can learn from that thread as well.

The main one I recall was someone posted him and his buddies were heading to a cottage, and it was going to be on the day of heritage waterfowl day, and they were pumped to go hunt some ducks.

I commented with the regs, just in case they weren't aware, that heritage day is for youth only, so unless I miss understood and they were having their kids with them, they could not hunt.

A few minutes later it was gone, that's a good thread to leave up, some people may not know.

There's nothing to be embarrassed about, if you didn't know, you didn't know.

I am sure he can look into it for you, but he may have to "DIG" a little deeper then normal.

Only if it's a full moon, the clock is ringing midnight and you have garlic and holy water on you to ward off the vampires. Than you can do anything you want and I'm sure the CO will understand.

What is this mean in the regulation ? REGULATION BUT NOT LEGAL???? (PAGE 1)

This is a summary of information dealing with hunting licences and hunting laws. This summary is neither a legal document nor a complete collection of the current regulations. It is meant to be a convenient reference only.
