Default Excalibur crossbow dissipator pads removal

I have an excal and i have stripped the damn screws and the hole is too big on the dissipator pads. I have ordered new screws from Excalibur and maybe just thinking of removing them all together (pads and bar). I have the s5 system on the crossbow. Is it possible to remove the dissipator bars and resemble the bow or do I extra screws from Excalibur.

Why not tap up to next size of screw. Do this for both so they will be identical and no crossing will happen when you take off or put them on again. Bow shop or gun smith should be able to do it if you don't have access to a tap/die set.

you dont need the bars if you have the s5 on your bow .you will need shorter screws to mount the flat retainer after removing the bars. fastenal will have them

Called excalibur and they send me bolts and installed them yesterday. So much easier without the pads to unstring the crossbow.

You can unstring with the pads on as long as you don't leave the string off for long periods of time.
