I've hunted B, C and D. There are deer in there. What kind of info are you looking for?

Pretty sure it's going to be antlered deer only for all of 76 this year. Numbers must be way down!

Has too much time on their hands
I just moved to WMU 76 from Niagara and I'm not seeing anywhere near as many deer as I'm used to in my travels so far.

In the regulations book....
76d has an asterisk (*) beside it for the controlled hunt... The asterisk (*) says antlered only in that WMU.
My controlled hunt validation tag says ANTLERED OR ANTERLESS..... (doe or buck). For the controlled shotgun hunt... I am ASSUMING i can only take a buck ? No does allowed?? Is this right?

Call MNR for the only good answer

As was stated above.... call the MNR for confirmation (right interpretation)....but
from the regs....
* Some Controlled Hunt Validation Tags in units marked with an
asterisk (*) are valid for ANTLERED DEER ONLY
I read this as the key word being SOME Controlled Hunt Validation Tags are valid for Antlered Deer only so since yours is stamped for both... you should be good to shoot buck or doe...

Im in 76d and where I am there is quite a few. Tracks all over. Chased 2 does the other day. Only got a buck tag so just wanted to see how long I could track them. All in all I think the area is healthy

Good man derek8, WHY would you ASSUME anything when it is spelled out for you right on your validation tag???!
You can shoot any deer you want during your controlled hunt in WMU 76D, as your validation tag expressly authorizes you to do so.
We hope to see your report soon, complete with the picture of the buck or doe that you manage to pose with!
