We will have cash prizes for most coyotes and biggest coyotes. We have local companies donating stuff for door prizes and raffles. We will also be doing a 50/50

    Why not?

It is just a coyote version of a big buck contest.

Why not , years ago they had " Ground Hog, Competition Shoots " based out of Durham On., back when there were a lot of ground hogs in the surrounding farms , now the coyotes have taken over .

I think he means the hunt for profit part.. Of course that changed earlier this year but many people still don't know that we can now as hunter ask for or be offered money( prizes) to hunt. Why anyone would have to offer me money to hunt on their propety?
Many times when I talk to people about removing pigeons or groundhogs, they are worried it will cost them money. No don't want a cent, but you may have to eat a pigeon pie....
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Every county has a big buck contest in the fall, it is no different than that.

There is no money to hunt, it is money/prizes for the largest, coolest, weirdest, whatever animal.

    This is not commercial hunting.

Hunting for profit is what most coyote hunters do, they hunt to remove coyotes from the farmland they raise their animals on and they sell any furs they get to recoup funds, no idea if they ever break even but they are trying.

Some other organization tried the same thing a couple of years ago. The animal rights nuts went ballistic with press releases, viral you tube vids and made all hunters look like knuckle-dragging neanderthals using it all against us. We all felt the heat for a long time. Personally.not that anyone asked,I think we can do without the bad press and this contest needs a big re-think.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Then we should stop all forums, we should stop selling product, we should not have TV shows and we should get rid of any big buck/doe contests as well.

You don't want to offend someone.
