Hunting trucks ford 150, dodge ram or???

I fit 4 deer in the back of my corolla. 3 were my and one for my buddy and one was a six point buck but still need a truck for hauling. I am going to look for used f150 in the new year.

If you go with Ford please forget the ecoboost. I was on the market for a new truck. I like the F-150.Two of my friend bought the ecoboost and its a pig on gas. 17-21 L/100km. I went with the V8. I spoke with a few random guy I didn't know and all said the same thing about the V8. Good on gas, comfortable and the crew cab is huge.

Current Toyota Tacoma owner. 2005. started to look at 150's but in the v8. I keep my trucks for a while and don't want to know what it costs to fix an ecoboost. I know it's not a full size but my Tacoma could pull 20ft hybrid travel trailer no problem and my 19ft deck boat. The reason I went with it was to access so tricky trails up in Gowganda Timmins and New Liskeard area. I was once stopped by guys on a trail saying you couldn't get a truck down it. We did and went fishing. When we came back they were taking pictures of it cause they said their buddies wouldn't believe them that we made it down the trail. It has a narrow wheel base so it fits nicely down some old logging roads, atv trails, and snowmobile trails. I Don't claim that it's better on gas. If you go over 110km you pay for it. It's a nice tight truck that is great for outdoor activities. There have been many pictures and videos of where that truck has gone. At the ten year mark excluding brakes and regular service the first thing I had to do this year was the front hub (bearing went). It was easier for me a home mechanic to do the hub and not much cost difference. I have a leveling kit to get it down the back roads.

I would be lying though if I didn't admit I love the large interior of a full size comfy truck.

While I am "eyeballing" a Toyota Tacoma lately-access cab,4x4 for hunting(small footprint,relatively good on gas)and I am a BIG Toyota fan(owned 2 Tercels) one can get by without a truck for hunting...had none for 16 years of hunting ......Tercels are quite nice hunting vehicles........see attached pic as proof.

I would tell your buddies to get their trucks fixed. I have put plenty of miles on the eco boost trucks and when trying was able to acheive 30 mpg, when really pushing the truck with a good load on a trailer I was still getting 16 mpg, but you are saying your buddy was only getting 11???

My wifes '14 Ecoboost does much better than that... Could be in the way it's being driven/used? even good fuel economy vehicles will suck the fuel if you drive it like you stole it...

I have a 13 ecoboost crew cab 4x4 with a 3.55 rear end with 55k and i average 11.6 L/100km
