Trapping course wanted
Hello Folks:
I posted this before, but the server auto-deleted it due to age. So my apologies for the repeat.
Anyway, I want the trapping course. I own some property and have access to lots of other private land around me in Southern Ontario. I am not looking to get a registered trap-line on Crown etc. I also do not have any delusions about getting rich or even breaking even. I just like being outside, like most folks on here.
I checked the MNR and Fur Harvester sites and cannot find any information on where and when I can take the next course available. So any information would be appreciated. I am willing to travel within reason and would get a hotel room for the weekend if it is further away.
Thanks in advance,
Ken T.

You can try e-mailing OFMF and they can tell you who offers the course in your area. That's what I did and took the course not too long after with a local instructor who offered the course for a more reasonable price than the local college

Thanks Fratri, but I hunt coyotes with Rob and he has said that until he gets more guys interested, it is not worth his time to run one. So that is why I was posting. I will send the folks at OFMF an email and see what may be coming up. Thanks to both of you.

call the transcanada trapline company in north bay... (the fur harvesters auction place) they will direct you to a guy in the northbay area... might be too far for you though...
