I bought the Columbia parka and bibs. They are waterproof, quiet, and super warm. They use their Omni-heat technology, that looks like foil. It's awesome. I bought a set for my dad and he loves it.

I agree with Columbia gear parka and bibs. I use my waterfowl set for ice fishing and last year was warm in -40 plus wind. Quality is good and the stand behind the product

I am also going to be getting a new get up. My old golden retreiver bibs have had it. Ive been taping the leg zippers shut for the last two seasons. I bought a Remington 3 in one jacket......if anyone is in need of butt wipe you can have it, it is terribly noisy when you start to get below zero let alone the last sit I had this year at -19.
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

I took to wearing coveralls a few years back...big and loose fitting so I could layer Long Johns and polar fleece hoodies etc underneath. I picked up a nice pair from Cabela's that are great for sitting in a tree stand late season when the sky is grey/white behind you.

I've got the cabelas silent suede bibs and coat. It's pricey. Waterproof and windproof. Had it for 3 seasons. It is really good stuff but for late season archery, its noisy. I would buy it again. I hunt with guys who are always complaining about being cold. I'm never cold. Second season of bp was nasty this year. I never got cold on post or sitting in a lawn chair. When I say it's noisy, if you see the deer first, you will be fine.

Look into browning full curl wool if you can find it. Wool is the way to go.

London Dave ... I bought the Red Head 3 in 1 Cold Weather Parka from Bass Pro this fall. Let me tell you that camo jacket was quiet, lots of convenient pockets, zipped up over chin, and was warm !!!
Underneath I wore my long johns and a camo wick proof long sleeve shirt ... Late in December I had 6 all day sits under a tree with snow all around and on me and the jacket never failed.
Price was in my budget and glad I bought it. Just my story and it may help or not. All the best !

I have the exact same coat and yes, they are noisy! After a while I ended up tossing the inner layer aside and now just use the waterproof shell. I started wearing a heavy layer of wool plus my base layer underneath instead. Not nearly as noisy, warmer and less bulky. You can find good wool shirts and coats at second-hand or surplus stores for way less money than these coats are worth.

Mike, glad you weighed in with that one.
I've always steered away from a "one garment" solution. I regard the outer as just the wind / rain / snow stop. And layer up accordingly underneath. I still do wear a parka for hunting, but it's lightly insulated.
I've always found layering with poly / merino wool, plus polar fleece, then outer was the best way to keep warm, without sweating and getting a chill once you stop moving.
"Camo" is perfectly acceptable as a favorite colour.
